# Glossary

> Terms used across Supplier Connect.

| Term | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Supplier** | A company offering products or services. |
| **Client / Buyer** | A company sourcing products or services. |
| **Both** | A company that is both a supplier and a client, and can switch between the two modes. |
| **Portal** | A client's private network of suppliers. A supplier joins a client's portal by accepting the invitation, which lets that client see the supplier's full data. |
| **Prospect** | A supplier that accepted your portal invitation but that you haven't moved to **My supplier** yet. |
| **NDA** | Non-Disclosure Agreement. Clients can attach the Supplier Connect standard NDA or their own template to an invitation; the supplier signs it to accept. |
| **Confidential document** | A document visible only to companies you are connected with. |
| **Verified** | The company or document has been checked by the Supplier Connect team. |
| **Referral code** | Your company's code. New companies enter it at sign-up to join through your invitation. |
| **ERC / IRC** | Enterprise Registration Certificate / Investment Registration Certificate (Vietnamese company registration documents). |
| **VSIC / NAICS** | Industry classification codes: VSIC is the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification, NAICS is the North American Industry Classification System. |
| **DUNS** | A 9-digit company identifier issued by Dun & Bradstreet. |
| **SME** | Small and medium-sized enterprise (micro, small or medium). |
| **ESG** | Environmental, Social and Governance practices. |
| **PDPD** | Vietnam's Personal Data Protection Decree (Decree 13/2023). |
